VOLUNTEER

Volunteers teach several classes per week to students ranging in age from children to adults. Volunteers live with local host families who provide three meals per day. Host families help volunteers practice Spanish, integrate into the community, and provide a comfortable living situation.​ The San Lorenzo Learning Center provides the volunteer's room and board.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER

We are seeking dedicated volunteers who are enthusiastic about teaching English and possess a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field. Experience teaching English as a second or foreign language is highly desirable and individuals with TEFL certifications are encouraged to apply. The ability to speak Spanish is recommended, but not required.

REQUIREMENTS

San Lorenzo is a rural community with a population of roughly 3,000. The town is located in the coffee producing region of Los Santos, in the Tarrazú canton of the San Jose province.​ The climate is warm during the day and cool at night. The people of San Lorenzo are very warm and welcoming, and eager to meet new people.
